Our journey began with the vision of our founder, Calvin Harris, who embarked on a profound quest for purpose and meaning after being medically retired from the United States Coast Guard. Calvin's personal odyssey led him on a two-year backpacking adventure through North and South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia. During this extraordinary voyage, he encountered diverse cultures, breathtaking landscapes, and most significantly, the stark realities of abject poverty and inequality.

In the heart of the Colombian mountains, Calvin had an encounter that would forever change the course of his life. He met a coffee farmer who toiled tirelessly, dedicating an entire day's work, yet still struggled to earn enough money to put food on the table. Witnessing this disparity in the coffee industry, Calvin was moved to action and found his calling. He understood that he could make a difference by connecting coffee farmers directly with consumers, eliminating the need for middlemen, and crafting a future where everyone, from coffee growers to coffee lovers, could thrive.
